Just the quirks of that particular memory, to figure out where it took place! Or, that's her master plan, anyways.
Honestly, me too. The first few comics I made had no dialogue so I was all "huh this comiking stuff is pretty easy" and then I had to start adding speech bubbles and sound effects to Engram and I was like wait wait hang on this is all looking so bad... It's basically everything you listed, yeah. Making the speech bubbles and the effects fit into the art, finding space in the composition for them, AND (though this one is my fault) choosing how to word things. Because I chose BIG FONT + smol page, I can't fit in a normal dialogue into the pages. You can usually fit about 15-25 words per balloon and I'm lucky if I get half of that so... It's been a struggle to word things concisely, but still with character AND meaning and, well... It's been an ~adventure~ The BIG FONT makes the comic readable on a phone screen though so I'm reluctant to change it.

In other news, lettering is hard. Like, the most difficult part of a comic, yo.
