Wedding? Congrats(good luck on your marriage and your new job)! I also dislike covering the picture with words, but then again, i doubt i put as much effort into my comic as you do(also, go ahead and do your things, dude, i got time to wait and i love this comic so far). Wordless comics are okay, but i think i prefer dialog
Thank you! Never thought I'd get married but... Life just keeps on lifin'.
I think the thing for me is - I'm still kinda treating the words and pictures as separate entities. I make sure to check on the words often when drawing and doing panel layout and such but I still can't clearly envision what they would look like as part of the whole image. And lettering is something I have the LEAST experience with by far, so I'm often most critical of it... since I don't know what I'm doing most of the time :P In any case, I'm really happy you like it! And I would really like to pick up the pace anyways, just for the sake of telling more of the story. <3

Yeah, I tried using a program for the lettering but it just looked so mechanical, and I struggled to make it fit the comic (even after spending hours making a font out of my handwriting, haha... At least I have my own font now........). So now I draw it by hand. I envy those people who figured out a way to magic template something that fits their art style, because I have... no idea where to start.
And I hear you, it's really jarring when the lettering does not match the comic.

Also, it's just cruelty to have to put word bubbles over the details you spent so much painstaking time to design... I just had to upload the page without words here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/53087289 (should be a publicly-accessible post?) because honestly you guys... I spent so long on this page.
I swear, my "Writing for the Graphic Medium 208" course ruined me when our prof made our first assignment be a wordless comic because that's all I ever want to do, it seems. Do you guys like wordless comics?
