Dot's mother is a famous space explorer. A famous missing space explorer. Missing like Dot-has-a-letter-from-the-Council-of-Human-Affairs kind of missing, not just the usual Mom-missing.

But Dot has a theory - and a plan. A theory that hinges on an old spacer's fairy tale and plan that relies on Dot's home-grown techno-baubles actually working (for once). But it is a real theory, and a real plan - and with the help of her trusty spaceship, Dot is going to bring her mother home.

I admit, I was so enamored with this layout when I came up with it, I decided to stick it out even though I don't think it reads super well. ><

Been getting a little burned out between planning my wedding, this comic, and health issues... I don't think I have a particularly healthy approach to work (I tend to obsess over whatever I'm currently doing) so it kinda rears its ugly head. Gotta find a more healthy way to approach the things in my life! I think part of the problem is this is one of the most challenging chapters in the whole comic in terms of visuals and OF COURSE I had to choose it as the first chapter! I think it will be much better once we launch into chapter 2 and beyond.

Anyhow, I'm rambling. What's the funniest cartoon expression to you?

Health first, wedding second, comic last. Do you have family or fiancé that can help? Delegate! If you need to leave the comic for a while please post a notice. It's disconcerting to be reading a comic and it just goes away without anyone knowing why.

The last three Dot expressions are all funny.

Ah, sorry, I think I made it sound more dire than it was! I've been dealing with health issues for the last few years so they're nothing new. I scale the production based on how I'm feeling, so I do one page a month while I'm not feeling great and more when I do. :) I'm not planning on quitting any time soon, and I will most certainly keep you all appraised for any planned hiatuses. I know how it feels to just have someone online disappear on you... "disconcerting" it definitely is!
