Dot's mother is a famous space explorer. A famous missing space explorer. Missing like Dot-has-a-letter-from-the-Council-of-Human-Affairs kind of missing, not just the usual Mom-missing.

But Dot has a theory - and a plan. A theory that hinges on an old spacer's fairy tale and plan that relies on Dot's home-grown techno-baubles actually working (for once). But it is a real theory, and a real plan - and with the help of her trusty spaceship, Dot is going to bring her mother home.

So, uh... this page was not originally part of the script. I just realized after I made page 3 and 4 that the flow was really off so... I added this. And this page kicked my butt in ALL of the places I did not expect it too - i.e. I THOUGHT drawing the city would be the worst of it, but I actually figured it out fairly painlessly (for a city, anyways...), and then the panel with the weird shadows I was like ah this is gon' b ez-pz and then I was stuck on it FOR DAYS. Funny how that works, sometimes...

:D Yeah I went back and re-read the original order and was like oh man, I needed to give those pages room to breathe... so... this is the breathing room.

Gonna be honest I mulled on it way too long. The trouble with Engram is that the pages are tiny and my handwriting kinda yuuge so I ah... am limited by the size of dialogue I can realistically fit on a page AND also convey character?!?! That in itself is why my next project will be on much larger canvases lol.
